If it weren't for us meddling kids..!

It was a pleasant evening to be strolling the halls of the Steam Factory, and Tour Guide Nizzi was keeping the Eternal Sovereign raid thoroughly entertained with fun facts and anecdotes about the facilities inhabitants (who knew that 7 out of 10 gnomes prefer Tide to Gain?!). All seemed pleasant and calm, and we were all looking forward to our complementary samples of steam at the end of the tour.

Then, all of a sudden, a ginormous robotic contraption leapt out from a corridor, swinging his humongous fists, and cracking each rusted ogre-sized finger in a manner that seemed to suggest that he planned on ruining our night out!

Not one to panic, ever, Tour Guide Nizzi heaved a sigh and explained to the raid that Chief Mechanic Clankwrench was just another one of those disgruntled engineers holding a grudge against the world because the Norrathian Government cut his funding, and that now we were going to have to kill him.

And so, a great battle ensued in which we threw all kinds of Warriors at the robot until he gave up and died. And then we stepped over his dead body and partied in his lab, thusly:

Anyway! Among the late Mechanic's effects, we discovered two <a href="http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item ... Industrial Tinkered Drillbore</a>s, which are now in the hands of Bogagar and Sonof to use for awesome. If only I'd learned how to defend myself against pointed sticks.. In addition, Clankwrench was holding on to a couple of pairs of <a href="http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item ... 8">leather pants</a> - grats druids!

Finally, and in totally unrelated news, it was a sad weekend in the life of one of our members, when his marriage proposal was turned down, leaving him depressed and lonely, sitting in a darkened room, listening to the Cure.
