Still a 60 orc rog on proudmoore. games boring anymore. I show up daily, but not much more than to raid and check AH sales. I've had a good run, and a great time with my guild, but alas, I see retirement in my near future there. I am on my way to Saga Of Heroes upon release.

I know people from all mmorpg lol. That and I read around.

I'm hearing that WoW is losing people in droves and this time, it's true.

Y'all know one of the key factor of what drives a mmorpg successful is the hook factor. What keep players hooked to their game. That's why EQ is such a powerful force with its content. It has have had years to build in alot of content so plenty of things to do. WoW did the same thanks to their years of developing but unfortunately they have been very slow in adding content (which in itself isn't bad because of their need to intensively test content and thus less server downtime and bug fixes)

But with 2 (or 3?) delays on their first expansion. I'm not surprises they are starting to lose people.

Blizzard are basicly making anything that was done up to now worthless with BC wich is kinda rude imo. They wanna attract more people with the promise that they will be on equal footing with old ones but are gonna loose alot of old players due to it. Reps,armor,recipes.. its all going down the drain. They even added dimnishing returns for enchants like crusader to be sure people would prefer the new ones.. gj marketing. At least the real eq2 is comming out soon :)

heh valk. I have had heard that EQ2 is finally starting to look like a real mmorpg. Of course it helps when they rip off some of the best features and modify it to fit their own world. But isn't that what marketing do anyway?

I have been keeping an eye on EQ2 and Vanguard. I get the feeling those two is going to be the hottest mmorpgs in the next 2 years. (In case you haven't heard. EQ2 won an award for most improved mmorpg in 2006. Which in itself is quite remarkable considering the flop they had starting out).

Crazy undeniable urge to play a martial artist type monk character in a MMORPG.

Cannot explain it. Vanguard monk is cool, but unfortunately my computer runs Vanguard like a virgin goin at a prostitute...

...

Um, yeah, it doesn't run it well at all.

I made another toon on Hyjal (hi again Kanvil). A paladin named Krusade. I was/am in a small guild but for the last month no one has signed in...the guild motto says "Burning Crusade is coming"...or something like that So I think most will be coming back when it's released. I really do wish we were on the same server...I think Kanvil is the only one on Hyjal...I do miss the days of ES, they were good.

My pally isn't that tricked out so I will probably benefit from the starting from scratch thing but i know I would be POed if I was in a hardcore raiding guild and all my hard work was going to be for naught.

So I picked up WoW after being told by many people here that it's fun...and yes it is.

I'm staying casual, and I'm having fun with my level 11 Orc Hunter. I'm on the Runetotem server.

Anyone on that server, look for Kabarudon (bonus points to anyone who knows that really is). Send me a tell...since I have no clue how!

WoW doesn't suck, its just a different game. One advantage WoW has is you can sit down and accomplish something in 30 minutes, where on EQ you're locked in for 3 hours a night, at minimum :(
