As a general rule, ES offtanks adds instead of using mez for crowd control. This does not apply when the raid leader instructs otherwise.
Knights are given preference for tanking named mobs that do not require the use of warrior disciplines. Trash mobs are the responsiblity of all tanks and all tanks must set up a "cycle through nearest NPC" hotkey.
Member & applicant warriors, pallies, and shadowknights are required to join /brutesquad during raids (shadowknights are exempt when pulling).
Brutesquad
Those in channel are responsible for assigning main assist, named tanks, off tanks, and rampage tanks and communicating this to the raid. No one person is responsbile therefore someone must volunteer on a daily basis.
To assign tanks: Ask who is interested, choose who will tank and communicate results in brute (to ensure it is acceptable). Communicate to the raid and repeat regularly to ensure those who arrive late know who the tanks are.
There are no standard messages used, however as an example:
Brute is used to talk about tank strategy and is the proper forum to ask any tank related questions./rs NAMED = Zeus -- Hercules -- Sheena // RAMP = Artemis
/rs MA = Mars
Socials
During raids there are standards applied to message text.
For the MA
The order of information is a standard as are the words "ASSIST ATTACK". Some type of "---===" symbols should be used. Slight variations are permitted however the standard makes it an easily identified communication for raid settings./rsay ---===ASSIST/ATTACK (%T)===---
For any Tank
It is acceptable to request heals in /rs when things go bad if you have to step into the MT role. Variation in message text is allowed however socials must be short./rsay==<HEAL>==
