Temps -

What have you done to your client?

Tried using old models?
Turned off spell effects?
Turned off Particles?
Turned off Shadows, Flora, Bloom Lighting.
Turned off Shadow clip plane.

There used to be a post on how to stream line your EQ settings to minimize the amount of lag you get but I can't find it.

If you did everything in that list (including stuff mentioned in that thread, like wireframe characters) and you are still having issues, then you're playing EQ on an Atari.

do you have the game running on all the cores or just 1? as eq singled out 1 core back in the day and now can utilize all of them.

when you have EQ running go into the task manager, generally its ctrl + alt + delete

go to processes and right click on the EQ one and then click on set affinity

make sure all are checked, if not you can check them at this point but then you will need to go into your eqclient.ini and change all the CPUAffinity's to 1

edit

and when you do this for the first time with the task manager, zone and it should take effect.

Let me know if it helps
