laptop hard drive hot?
is it common that the hard drive in my laptop needs to be warm/hot? I know the cooling fans work and have it on a cooling fan. just the one corner of it always seems warm. took cover plate off and it is where hd is.
SSDs also have no moving parts and generate very very very little heat.Rapitiss wrote:Its not uncommon to have a hard drive get warm.
If its over 35 - 40 deg C then you might want to look at additional cooling ( hard to do ) or moving to a solid state drive which will make the machine seem more responsive.
