They have gone downhill since like '85. Heh. I'm all for rooting for my hometown team, but damn guys =(

That said:
The Bears have won nine (9) NFL Championships (eight pre-merger, and one Super Bowl). From wikipedia, so it may not be completely accurate. Either way, that doesn't sound terrible to me. Consistent performance over the longrun is better than "the current big thing" in my book =P Just like IL is consistently corrupt!
