Good Movies

Post by Warren »

I enjoy film as a media to convey art and felling. I came across two German films that I thought I would share with you.

The second is called "Run Lola Run" no web page however here is a sound track from part of the movie

i saw bits and pieces of run lola run quite a few years ago. i couldnt get into it.

last night i saw a pretty good movie, draws your attention. its called This is England, it won a few sundance awards. Its racially based and deals with english skin heads.

also Princess Mononoke is great and is also a plus if you like anime (which i dont, but i loved this movie).

also a movie simply called "rubber" is a spoof on horror movies. A killer tire roams the southwest. Funny and interesting and i kind of enjoyed it.

"A Single Man" 2009 -- Very thought provoking and edited in a way that makes the movie beautiful.

"Miss representation" 2011-- A documentary women's rights and how the media today covers women.

"Boy's in the Band" -- A queer film made in 1970 important because it was one of the first movies to show gay man as normal people instead of crazed psychopaths, sad still because it also shows self hate.

"Iron Jawed Angels" 2004-- A good film that shows the struggles women went through during the suffrage movement. Staring Hillary Swank.

"Revolutionary Road" 2008-- A melodrama that takes place in 1950's America, many topics covered in this narrative film Leonardo De Caprio and Kate Winslet-- really a beautiful film.
