Weird Connectivity Issues

Heya!

I am having problems making my programs work. I can't figure out what's wrong. I can't log in to AIM, or EQ, and I can't access a bunch of websites. I went to see if I could download the station launcher and get on through that, but I couldn't even load the SOE site. I also tried updating my Java, since it had been popping up angry messages about updating that, and on that website when I clicked the install button, it wouldn't load the following page at all. I had to find the manual download area. That still didn't fix anything.

I ran my virus check, and spyware checks, and they didn't find anything. I was wondering if it could be whatever update Windows made me install last night:

If it sounds like that could be it.. I guess I could uninstall it? Does anyone have any thoughts?.. cause this is really annoying!

Looks like Dissi is having similar problems. We live in the same area so maybe it's the stupid cable company. Of course, since I can't access the help area on their website, I have no way of asking them :p

I get that kind of connectivity whenever they do here.

Edit: Well after 20 minutes of me talking to a recording explaining how to unplug my modem and delete my internet history, I finally got to talk to a live person that told me they were doing a database cleanup. Not sure what that means, but not looking like we'll be on tonight!

I finally got AIM and EQ to run! I started watching Legally Blonde on TV, and I think my computer felt bad for me.
