Widescreen Monitor Aspect Ratio Settings?

I now have a 22" widescreen monitor, first wide screen monitor I have had and I have been playing with aspect rations, resolutions and refresh rates and cannot set any aspect ratio other than 13:10. Not sure if this is an issue, everything seems to working ok, EQ works, but would like to try to force it to a wide screen ratio.

I have tried changing it both via the normal windows methods (slider bar), and also via the NVidia tool, but ony 13:10 ratios available. The video card, Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT, supports a whole range of 13:10 and 16:10 aspect rations all at 75Hz. The monitor is native 16:10.

Monitor is Acer AL2216wb with the .inf from Acer web site. Latest Nvidia driver, windows patched, et..

Update on this: In Eq, I am able to set other aspect ratios, works well.
