DSL or Cable

Post by Svarien »

Any recomendations/tips on which to choose. Was very satisfied with my cable in virginia but in st. louis it may be different. Had DSL when it first came out when i lived in Louisville but the phone company was right across the street then also.

same principles would apply.

cable if in large city (st. louis would qualify)

DSL if pretty isolated (or near the source)

I have only had 1 issue in since 1999 with cable. Friends who have DSL in the area have had more. Thats just my experience in San Diego though...

We have had great luck with both. We used DSL when we lived in the outer banks and cable now that we live on the main land.

Ant and I had DSL, and we would nearly go ld every two to three minutes. Switched to cable and no problems. This was after many days in a row of playing, "how long can you stay on the phone trouble shooting with the tech?" and "stump the pannel."

Hehe I am on three different types of wireless and all three work great for me. Live next to parents and they have cable friend next to them has DSL and I have Clearwire wireless. Computer running off clearwire straight thru and with laptop I just grab whatever has the stronger signal at the time hehe. But all three work great really.
