New Jag

This is exactly what mine looks like:

A bunch of additional photos:

This thing is amazing and a huge step up from the SC400 I've been driving for several years.
I only had to wait 5.5 months instead of the expect 8 also. A guy who'd been on the list since 2005 ordered all of the stuff I wanted, the car came in and he couldn't afford to buy it anymore. They called me and I drove right over and got it. I was still expecting about 3 months more for the actual build and shipment from England.

Looks awesome.

just way too much money for 13 second car in my taste

at least if you could afford that car you can afford modding it >)

open up that exhaust let that baby breathe so you can hear the sc v8 !
pullies. Lt headers etc

i am upgrading to 2004 Ford Mustang Cobra SVT 4.5s 0-60mph 12.9s 1/4mile ( stock )

Believe it or not, both the XK and XKR have servo-operated valves in the headers. When you step on the gas they open up for better sound (and the miniscule associated power boost) and when you're just cruising around, they're in the quiet position. On the XKR, the exhaust note is really nice. When you romp on it, the supercharger whine is noticeable but not too loud also.

Another really cool feature of the car is the 6-speed transmission. It can seamlessly operate in several modes.
If you have it in normal "Drive" mode, it's just a 6-speed auto with really clean shift points and integrated throttle control.
Hit the paddle shifters and you can temporarilly override it for manual shift with the fastest shift time of any production car. If you drive normally for a while, it will go back to auto mode on its own.
If you put it in "Sport" mode, the system will by default have much higher shift points, but the really cool part is that it keeps track of how you're driving and will let you keep the RPMs up without manual intervention. For example, you can be at 5000 RPM in 3rd gear and let back off for a corner, you'll actually get engine breaking instead of an upshift like virtually any other automatic.
If you're in Sport mode and touch the paddles, it goes to full manual mode with only redline up-shift prevention enabled. In that mode I believe it's the fastest shifting transmission available on a production car.

Some other cool features:
The headlights are gimballed and automatically move left and right when turning, down when going over a crest and up when going through a dip.

The side running lights also automatically come on on the appropriate side when you're going under 30MPH and signalling a turn.

Rear-facing sonar system with on-screen display shows you how close things are behind you when backing up.

Radar-assisted cruise-control maintains the specified distance to cars ahead. I didn't plan to buy this feature, but another guy had been on the waiting list since 2005 ordered almost exactly what I wanted and when the car came in, he couldn't afford it. In the end I'm glad I did because I like the dark-walnut interior trim he ordered much more than I think I would have the aluminum trim I ordered. It also cut my time on the waiting list from 9 months to 6.

I've been very happy with it so far, and I'm one of those guys who used to make jokes about British cars.

One small problem it has is this:
When you manually down-shift, it blips the throttle to match RPM. I think the software was tuned for the naturally aspirated version. When you do that in mine, it actually accelerates during a down-shift. I imagine that will be fixed in a SW update.
