Although freezing rain isn't fun to drive in, they do make for some beautiful pictures. :)

crazy thing though is that there was no ice on the ground, anywhere unless it was falling from the trees. we had zero ice on the roads, sidewalks, cars (for the mostpart) and ground. (until a later storm that came through)

it all came down on the trees and powerlines and froze. :\

Sunnie, the warm earth would not let the rain freeze, especially if the ground is not saturated with water and thus will absorb the surface water readily. Now that you have the beautiful pictures to work from, your next mission, should you decide to accept it, is to replicate the visions in lasting format. Perhaps someone with great artist talent and some technicologic savy would make up a tree using Bronze, which would be soft enough to allow some character marks, to simulate bark on heavier piece and various gages of bronze rod / wire such as brazing rods to make some of the limbs. Then to hold the bronze at a temperature that glass could be laminated and worked to represent the ice. Would take alot of work, but once the technique is developed, items like these would find window shelves with the sun backlight profitable.

Beautiful pictures Sunnie. It's always amazing what Mother Nature can do. Im glad you and your family weathered the storm well. We are all missing you very much, and will be happy to see you again in game. /hugs

I lost power for a week from the storm. It really sucks being inside a house thats hovering just above freezing.
