No, I didn't get beta invite, but do know of folks that have and been reading good stuff about it.

Any ways, Hi to all past and present members of ES.

Tudana has a guild already set up as well as a guild website. the name escapes me atm but I think ylyrra would know since I gave her the link.

Aye, the guild name is Phoenix Ascension.

The web site is http://www.phoenix-ascension.net

As for commenting on who is in beta or not, I'm afraid you won't find anyone posting whether they are or aren't, since apparently, the NDA restricts that information. Those in beta are not supposed to disclose they are in beta. But everything I've heard so far promises to be a wonderful game.

Take care.

Gonna wait some months before I play or can play even. My current computer does not run Vanguard with any proficiency (while still running any other game I could possibly want it to run...). The gameplay is pretty much more of the same that any "veteran" MMORPGer would expect in an online fantasy game. Seems cool, with quite a bit of potential, but not really something I'm too eager or able to play right out of the launch gate.

Hi to all retired 02'ers here and everyone else.

If anyone misses me i'm in Beta 5 in Vanguard and the NDA is lifted.

If anyone wants to get in Beta 5 they can sign up on Fileplanet and get a Beta number and download the Beta. it is a 6.6 gig download highly compressed. 18 Gig uncompressed.

I recently jumped into the beta. There are a lot of familiar elements, but all good games build on what came before.

The major obstacle for the game right now seems to be performance and system requirements. Some of the people who have been in beta longer could probably tell you what the progress has been on that front. I meet the recommended specs and still have to run with stuff on lowered settings. But, it is playable.

Graphics, quest system, combat, crafting all have the potential to be the best I have experienced in an MMO. There are other features unique to Vaguard which only add to the experience.

If you can't tell, I am already hooked.

All of that being said, I doubt very seriously they meet the Jan 29 date.

What game?

Never heard of this game, been playing EQ2 and WOW lately. But looking at all the familar names of people that will be playing this I may be tempted to start playing just to see the people that I used to play with. Now...Is there any waywe could possibly get to be on the same server?!?!? I have yet to play a game that had everyone I knew on the same place, it would be a first...it would be very cool.

/agree

Having everyone on the same server would be great. Many of us are members of the guild Tud has created called Phoenix Ascension and several of us have been in beta for a bit. (Me since late last year, some for a good bit longer.) Though, I haven't been on much lately due to my father's illness and recent passing, I should be appearing more often now that I've moved my computer to my mom's house where I've been staying so I can help her out.

We will be coordinating our efforts on what server we will be joining on our message boards there.. www.phoenix-ascension.net

I look forward too seeing you all again.. those of you that will be giving Vanguard:Saga of Heroes a try!

/hugs

Even with its glitch and bugs this game comes so close to original eq(with alot of the original problems fixed). Tanks are awesome to play, alot of people dont like that you actually have to be aware of your surrounding, check groups health etc for rescues but i think it brings a new approach to a class group that was stuck with a 'taunt mashing' role way too often.

It took about 2days for me to accept that i wouldnt play Wow ever again and wouldnt buy BC.. after 3weeks im totally sold hehe.

I got BC today but didnt really play...waiting for gf to get 4 more lvl so we can burn the new zone.

I hate to see my epic gear getting replace by uncommun green gear lol...so much work and time for nothing.

I hope bc will be fun......hey Valk if you want to see what bc look like i can give you my password eheheeh.

Hehe, my account is still active for about 2weeks. Wow just feels too easy and dumbed down now that i tried vanguard(personnal opinion) and after reading that a guy got to lev70 in 27hours..

Im gonna play vanguard with patrice and eric, we wanna play like 2days a week and keep together in level. I might do some tradeskills on extra offtime but thats it. Should take forever to get 50 hehe.. like in our old eq days.

Oh btw, monk pulling is Alllive again!! Im in love with paladin tanking/utilities tough but i might play a monk has alt hehe.. just for the training *cough* pulling part.
