Game Maps

Post by Siwi »

Anyone able to tell me how to change colors on game maps ... my current MPG map is nice from mapfiend, but lines are a faint yellow and almsot impossible to see.

BTW, i cant seem to access Mapfiend atm and download maps, seems to be buggedd on their new site format. Maybe Fazin and Theoso need to perform some magic for them, as they have here :-)

Thanks in Advance!!

/cheers

some times i dont bother modifying the maps themself but rather modify the background the maps are on

try setting the transperancy of the maps window to like 50 or 40% fade
this helps me see the maps much better for black lines or white or yellow lines.

but as for changing the colors of the maps themself its nothing more than going through the .txt map file and replacinmg every instance of the color # on each of the more than a thousand or so lines (depending on the zone) to the color number of your choice. this can be a very tiediece job by hand but i know theirs a few parcer programs that can do this very quickly but as far as what they are i'll see if i can find a link to 1 later
