been playing a lot of EQ 2 since it came out and honestly i didnt miss EQ 1 for a second. I had not decided yet if i was gonna quit or what, but last night a high ranking player of ES decided it would be fitting to harass the person who does get use out of my account on a really regular basis, this being the person who has had access to lowkie for quite a long time and has never hurt a thing. The high ranking player decided they didnt think Lowkie belonged in ES anymore, i guess since id been away for so long yet funny i dont remember reading anything about play time requirements to be in ES, other than the obvious app period that i passed with flying colors. anyway id like to thank this person for making my decision easier, since there is no way in hell i will EVER sit through another app process for this guild or ANY guild in EQ again.
Have a good one

The high ranking person was me Lowkie. You were just recently off probation.. As our unwritten rule, people are not allowed to retire with the ES tag unless they have been a member for several months. Since you left for EQ2, it was clear you didn't want to be here. I spoke to your friend who has been boxing you to find out what your intentions were, and he said he called you and you said you weren't coming back.
As far as harassment, I asked who was boxing you since you were anon (which is against guild policy, but I guess you knew that) and they were a member of another guild. While I understand people have friends in other guilds who may box them from time to time, it's just nice to know that beforehand. Not that we have secrets we keep from other guilds, but it's nice to know when we have a member of TTN in our guildchat. Again, when he said you weren't coming back, I removed you.
Have fun in EQ2.

Corre knew before hand and said that if Lowkie trusted me on his account then it was fine for me to continue boxing him.Sonami wrote:While I understand people have friends in other guilds who may box them from time to time, it's just nice to know that beforehand.
When i said i would talk to Lowkie you said "it wouldnt make any difference". So please don't pretend like you removed him because of a message i was passing on.Sonami wrote:Again, when he said you weren't coming back, I removed you.
Just thought i'd add in some real facts

Lowkie seemed to be a nice guy but I would have done the same thing if I were Sona. You made your decision long before last night I suspect Lowkie.

not to cause drama or anything.. but OMG.. lots of people are anon in the guild, during raids and otherwise. so if this is a rule, that is such a big deal i certaintly dont see it being inforced at all.
Lowkie really sorry to see you go hun, i hope you enjoy playing EQ2, and sorry your decision to leave was made for you. take care.

Being /role is different from being /anon. /role still displays the guild tag. If you see someone who is anon, please remind them that anon isn't allowed or if you're not comfortable doing so, let an officer handle it.Roel wrote:not to cause drama or anything.. but OMG.. lots of people are anon in the guild, during raids and otherwise. so if this is a rule, that is such a big deal i certaintly dont see it being inforced at all.

I don't think being anon was the reason he was removed peeps. At least that's not how I interpreted what I read above.

I am a brand new member in ES, but I would not assume it would be ok for me to go off and play another online game leaving my main character to be played in an /anon status by a member of another guild without getting express permission from ES guild leader. Especially just getting off probation. Just good manners, I would say, so that our guild leader would know that someone from another guild was in our midst on a raid.
When you are in groups or raids with only your guild in attendance, people joke (harmlessly) about other guilds, just because it is funny and no harm is done. But, the joking can be misconstrued if overheard by the member of that other guild and ill feelings between guilds develop unintentionally...that is my take on it anyway...I would have done the same thing if I were Sonami...
