Gimping changes

Post by Soaria »

This is not ment to be critical just to offer some alternative ideas.

I think some minor changes to the way gimping is currently handled could lead to some overall improvement. I personally, have spent over 20 hours of my life sitting outside the plane of time over 4 separate raids. A system needs established to ensure someone is not left feeling like the little boy or girl who was always the last one picked for a kickball or dodgeball game in elementary school. If you sit out a raid waiting to get gimped that should move you up higher on the gimp list for the next time raid. I agree that the needs of the raid must come first but after that should come the people who waited for gimp spots on prior raids but were not invited. When you are waiting for a gimp spot for several hours you come away more tired than after 12 hours of hard core leveling or even raiding. You are afraid to glance away because when you do you risk losing an invitation to gimping like I did on the time raid today. The gimp inviter's in addition to issuing an invitation to join a group should also consider sending a voice tell to the person in question to attract their attention if they happened to have glanced away for a minute. This would also allow someone waiting to be gimped in able to do other things which makes it much less tiring in the end. In combination these steps can make waiting for a gimping less tedious and leave people including myself less likely to be left feeling left out.

Once again this is not ment to be critical just to offer some alternative ideas.

I don't think this will be an issue in time for much longer.

Gratz on time raid.

No but it's never hurts looking at the issue for future flag required zones :)
