Daybreak canned a pile of people from EQ and EQ2, including Brasse (Linda Carlson) and David Georgeson. Surprised at both of those considering how much of a fixture in the EQ Community both have been.

Brasse's Facebook post on it seems to shed the layoffs in a positive light, but not sure if that's just because she's always been a generally positive person, or what.
Lots of layoffs

Ya, Brasse's statements thus far have been comforting. Now her departure is alarming... BIG mistake getting rid of her.
From what I'm reading, it's all about the profit. Doing away with SoE Live because it was not "profitable". Laying key people off to become more "profitable".
Profits are good and necessary, but I suspect they don't care about the gaming community as a whole, much less realize how important our loyalty will be to their "profitability".
