I took this with my canon t3 rebel with an 250 mm lens today. I was about 5 fetish from it when it took flight

photography is a hobby of mine in general and wildlife is more challenging than people by far lol. Years ago I got to visit a center where they took care of wild birds of prey that had lost wings etc and couldn't live in the wild. It was my first up close on an bald eagle. If you never seen one fly in the wild up close your missing out. Blue haring cranes are the other bird I like to try and get pictures of but need a bigger lens but cant afford the $$$ for it

during the winter where i live there are usually a few eagles that roost on the river that are probably the coolest thing i've ever seen avian wise

larger lens means I can take pictures from a further distance away
