It's basically a mix of Dragons, Dragons, Dragons and Giants, Giants, Giants using Old Man McKenzie monster mission classes. It should still be up on test server - there is a Coldain dorf in arena that you get the quest from. Anyone can get 3 people onto test and try it out with level 1 characters (or you can /testbuff to level 25).

Yeah, you can die as much as you want - they bind your character out in arena so you just have to run back to the quest NPC. If your group wipes, you will not beat us. We had Nizzi die once early (on Gore I think?) because we were being hyper-aggressive in getting a couple of the mobs down. I died at the very end agro'ing Vulak because he has Call of the Zero. After that we just ran out of time, so those were the only 2 deaths throughout the run. Every other group wiped at least once.

I really enjoyed meeting all the guildies at SoE Live, my first time to go.

And I was very proud to be sitting at the ES table watching our "Awesome" ones take the prize!

Cheers, Qulas. You guys got a bit closer than I thought anyone would this time around. I have a feeling if they don't change it for next year it's going to come down to the tie-breaker, so I'm kind of helping for something new to figure out next year. There's really not much further we can go in this particular event because Vulak is near impossible.
