had the boyfriend run EQ on his PC today and it took him over 1:30 to get into the GGH still think thats a bit high so i am going to try not using my back up EQclient and other INI's and see if that helps maybe one of these files is corrupted.
do you have port forwarding set up? might try that isps seem to intermittently take it upon themselves to tinker with shit that isnt broken and that can help offset some of the stuff they may have fucked up. have you done the standard resetting router and modem? eq can bring issues to the surface that you might not notice while doing other activities online

just run a wire to the nearest clock tower and wait for a lightning strike.
I was thinking it might be the knibulator, and was looking to adjust that, but now I think I just need a faster internet connection, due to AT&T's new 'throttling' strategy designed to get me to do just that.

I'm certain of this...

I would turn off any internet security/virus stuff just on your box if you havent tried that already. Seems like i remember there being some temp files in one of the subdirectories of everquest that are graphics related that you can safely delete as that was recommended at one point for people having similar issues.

turned my anti virus off and made sure nothing was running, no change. I have mine to not bother with EQ in any way so i didnt think this would help but it was worth a shot thanks!

those files you mention, not sure what they are will have to look into it.
