updating wireless card drivers

maybe someone who knows more then me can help me and zerelia out.

zerelia has a gateway system. her wireless card drivers are over 2 years old and we are trying to get up today ones. well here is the issue. the wireless card in her system is a realtek rtl8190 802.11n. but if i go to gateways website and look up her system guess what. They have a list of three wireless cards for her system but non are realtek. Throw emails it seems that her system got a realtek card instead of one of the ones that was ment to go into it. So they are no help. I have gone to realteks site and looked up her card. i can find drivers for rtl81902u and rtl81902e but none for just the rtl81902.

any ideas what to do?

not sure if thats the correct driver or not but it appears to be..but its for XP not sure what OS she is running

Did you try windows update?

You could also try the two possibilities from the realtek site. They're probably the same package and if not, the wrong one will not load against your card anyway.

The 8192E driver package is newer so I'd try that one first.
