more harm than good
I want to thank Ebut for the Pl session on Sunday, I gained 12 lvls and am now 77. But I think I did more harm than good for my char. I only have 108 AA ponits spent. I am now a high lvl gimp. A guide I read on allamar said I could grind out aa in the hole at the undead temple moloing at 70. A place I am familiar with in the old world and where I can get more proficient with my Chara but now I should head to arcstone. Im a truck driver/owner operator and my time is limited to the weekends. I had no idea a Pl session at my lvl would mean 12 lvls in 3 hours. Now im a lvl 77 paperdoll. what lowest lvl of mob would get me exp? What should I do? I look forward to grouping with ebut and his monk alt (I think he is the one that sent me a tell for that.... Soo manu new names) anyway, I was thinking, extreme case, delvl to 70 and grind aa out in the hole or.....
Any suggestions are welcome....

Direwind Cliff off of Sunderock is lvl 75 hot zone you get geared up in either fabled gear or Revamped gear for 71 to 76 you can grind aas there easy.....max slay undead 1st so you can get some damage going on undead and then your g2g but aas are easy to get most in guild will be willing to help im pretty sure
levels are great, AAs chizel the character. You'll find decent AAs as you level. my 90 rog gets about 1 aa every 2-3 mobs in CoB

yea but the question is does he want to be carried all the way to the top or does he want to play the game.....any ranger can take him to SoD zones and get aas easy and fast and lvls for that matter but its bout how he wants to play if he wants 90 or higher faster thats easy if he wants to play at lower lvls thats fine too
Then he should exp and solo/group with like level players for his current level. that's it.

In all honesty, at this point where the game has evolved to. Players tend to have more fun and get to "play the game" after being PLed to be able to actually play with other players. Moloing around low level zones that aren't populated isn't playing a MMORP, you can get the same satisfaction out of any xbox fantasy game out there. What makes a MMORP is social interaction with other people. Granted each player finds their own draw to the game for one reason or another. But mass media games are just that mass media not single action.Melinko wrote:yea but the question is does he want to be carried all the way to the top or does he want to play the game.....any ranger can take him to SoD zones and get aas easy and fast and lvls for that matter but its bout how he wants to play if he wants 90 or higher faster thats easy if he wants to play at lower lvls thats fine too
If this was a case that someone hasn't played the last expansion and wanted to play around with people who are still around in those zones is one thing, but someone who hasn't played since level cap was 65 which is years ago. Then trudging through those zones will more than likely be unenjoyable.
When I read the origial post it seemed like the issue was that he did himself a disservice by leveling because he felt it would be more efficient to grind xp at certain level stops. And I can assure you it's not. If you're getting PLed to higher levels, you'll also get PLed AA's to a serviceable amount that will afford you to play to current era standards. players with less then 2k AA's get exp bonus, and you're fortunate enough to skip all the crap AA's now and focus on getting class specialty AA's instead of people who were maxed each expansion that pushed them over 2k AA's by having innate intelligence AA maxed etc.

salvage is literally worse than innate charisma and i wanted to punch myself in the balls buying it during sod just to max out aaTwinkeltoes wrote:In all honesty, at this point where the game has evolved to. also check out daedelus and jogger and daedelus & jogger friends of friends remix also possibly some mylo remixes or mux mool if you like that they kind of similar experimental "dubstep" but like smart people dubstep that isnt actually "dubstep" and is instead good music thats been labeled "dubstep" because thats the popular term into which a smattering of other electronic musical acts have been classified when they would have or had classifications in any one of dozens of other genre names thank

Thank u strong ans eatmice, you have answered my question. I played at a time when grinding aa and exp would take 5 hrs or more to get half an aa oe exp lvl. I thought it is still that way but eq has changed more dramtically than I have imagined. Strongbus, yoir on with the offer. I will be on this weekend.
