Now keep in mind I beleive nothing of what I hear and half of what I see but this video documentary really disturbed me and how the narrator goes about this is very convincing.
If this is true what they are doing then what do we do?
I challenge anyone with an open mind to watch this video and at least get into part two if your having trouble with part 1.
My apologies if this is not meant for this specific forum but I feel I must get it out best I can.

I have no issues with what these people decide to do to make money or spend their time with. I think that people need to be very careful about where they choose to get their news from. T.V media has become so distorted that to me that it is not something that I use to base much of what I get my world views from.
As far as it being an ethical issue. I would not do what some of those actors do, but I believe that they should have the right to do that if they want to. They are essentially making propaganda, its something that big media and politics have mastered. It is an interesting thing though, the world we live in that is.

Nothin' new here.
State-sponsored information/disinformation has been used by every country going back to B.C., some campaigns are just more agressive than others. In the US, at least, there are oversight controls usually in place to ensure things stay within the boundary of the law (i.e. Bush's statements about DOJ). The few times that an administration has gone out of bounds (e.g. Nixon), once exposed, the fall has been swift with a range of reprecussions.
I agree with Warren insofar that it is an individual's duty to educate himself and look at issues from different angles and not choose any one opinion based on a particular TV news channel or favorite actor or party agenda.
From the ethical angle, I'm sure that there's a larger game than any of us know being played and the media is part of it. If I pretend that not knowing the whole picture bothers me (it doesn't), then the best I can do is go to my representative (/petition), organize a rally, or write an editorital to a newspaper. Odds are, even if my voice was heard the practice would still continue either overtly or covertly.
