Major log in problems

I am trying to log into EQ, I get all the way to character select screen but when I hit "enter world" it closes out of EQ, no matter what character I try...

mine wont get to the "Updating" process is anyone else having this problems or know of any way i can fix it? have another online game that isnt working as well so not sure if its an EQ problem or somthing with my computer

did you try running a complete scan on station launcher?

not yet will try now....takes a long time for me to even get into the Log in screen...just running really slow for some reason....not understanding it my self

Are you both sure your internet is operating normally, and only EQ is the problem?

Also yesterday I believe SOE was getting attacked again, even if you were on the servers I noticed several periods of packetloss and lag throughout the day.

You should clear your IE Internet Cache and Temprorary files, then reboot, then try again. If that doesn't work, install the newest station launcher. If that doesn't work, call SOE because their launcher has broken in the past for my dad and he had to call them and have them do some whacky shit to fix it. I wasn't around, or I'd tell you what they did so you can try.

The other option is to try the old school patcher. Navigate to your EQ directory, right click the file "Everquest.exe" and run it as administrator, this will install the old sony launchpad, not the new station launcher, and you can full scan and patch/run from there perhaps.

I found out what I had to do, it was my UI. I had to replace some old files then I was able to get in no problem, then I updated them thru EQInterface. but thanks for the info smack
