Black and Tan is a drink made from a blend of Bass and Guinness (2 Irish beers).
Before there was the drink this term Black and Tan referred to the British "police" that occupied Ireland.
Even though Irish Pubs in the US created this drink; i would not recommend trying to order one in a pub in Ireland!
figured i would include an "old" Irish rebel song about this..
