Yesterday I was able to view eq windowed mode (I usualy play in fullscreen), then on the same computer start up the other account, log in and buff myself. Today, it hangs up after I launch the game on either intilizing or starting....
Did something change, or do I have to do something special to play two instances of eq on the same computer?

I don't know, but last week I tried to 2box my mage and bard on my lap top for the first time, and when ever I tabbed out of my bard to my mage, my bard would stop twisting songs. I wonder if it's related.

Perhaps you have to set processor affinity for each instance (depending on processor type and number)

I have the best luck tho, (xp, pent 2.8 duo) with running station launcher off the C drive, and running the second eq straight from the eqgame.exe (not through launcher) off a 2nd hard drive, making sure of the correct shortcuts. I do it this way because the station launcher gets all buggy when I had it on both drives, and would never load the 2 eqs off of seperate drives.
I use windowed mode and tab-alt between screens.

i had all 3 of my accounts loaded last night and it worked fine. bit laggy now that i went from 20mb to 5mb cable modem service . though we were having internet issues last night so that might be it too....
but i use EQ Windows so maybe thats the difference.

Do you have to run it once you install it? I dont want to always play boxing, as I really hate boxing. Meaning.. will it always force your game into windowed mode even if you dont want it to?Alsmack wrote:I use the same installation of EQ, and launch everything using "eqgame.exe patchme" and never with the launcher. Works like a champ.
(Actually, I use Innerspace, but that's not free. The free thing that works really well is by the same company and is called WinEQ 2.0 - a must for all two+ boxers)
