Fertend. What?

Post by Fertend »

Greetings everyone, Fertend here.

I'll start by saying my apologies to the members, officers, and nizzi's who were present at the time if my departure from the guild. The main reason for me doing so has since become a non issue. Still, leaving with an enormous debt is not in any way a good thing. I am sorry for doing so. Hopefully you will be able to look past this and see an opportunity to add a newer, better Fertend to your guild. Unfortunately when I say Fertend I refer to myself, and not the character who has been sold. With that I can offer up the services of an 85 bard (560 aa), an 83 shaman (730 aa), an 81 zerk (330 aa), or a measly 67 cleric (310 aa). Any of which I would put time and effort into to make them proficient raiding characters. So, questions. Would you accept an old member back? And if so, which class would be most beneficial to the guild? If you would like me to elaborate on any part of my story I would be more than willing. 20 questions, along with anything up to and including waterboarding would be an acceptable punishment imo.

I don't remember the circumstances of your departure, but you'd want to talk with Nathanar or Rohgziel as they are currently handling the recruitment.

I vote priest!

Apologies means nothing if you did not learn from the past. You were a good warrior and had a potential leadership ability that I observed from your pickup raid leading capabilities.

I'm not really interested in your story. Not to say I don't believe you but it's in the past where it belongs. What I want to know is your future. What will happen the next time there's drama. There's always drama in all shapes and forms in every guild. How are you going to handle it when one comes your way? Not everyone can get along with everybody...even I had my anti-fazin fans, it's how you handle it that earns you respect even at a distance.

I think your answer here may reflect on your application status. So I advise you to think about what has changed about yourself in the time since you left and what kind of a person you are because of it.

I wish you luck, Fertend. I hope you can join us but it's really up to you to decide if you can commit to fitting in with us.

Thank you for asking what I believe are the right questions Fazin (and the initial compliments).

Now I know you stated that you're not really interested in my story, but I think part of it is at least relevant to the situation. I'll try to keep it concise for everyone's sake.

After selling my character, buying a car, and getting a job, my priorities in life changed dramatically. Before, all I really worried about was how high my stats were. It didn't matter what people thought of me, because they would never see the real me anyway. Since then I've discovered that how people perceive me is something I honestly care about. I don't want to be thought of as someone who's self-centered and impressionable in a negative way. I want to be seen as the cool headed, hardworking problem solver that I pride myself on being now. I am confident that this shift in my mentality is a change for the better.

In all honesty, I would be content in simply working off the entirety of the debt I left with. Group gear seems sufficient to at least keep me from getting pancaked. And gear is only half the battle when it comes to being a useful raiding toon. The other half doesn't cost any DKP.
