citrix metaframe
figured it was worth a shot to ask...
anyone have a copy laying around? i have 3 clients right now; that want tech support and since Citrix won't support it anymore. all Citrix says is buy the new version, which my clents cannot afford. i have never seen this program, so i am at a loss to help support it.
if anyone has any ideas of where i can get a copy IM me here or email me at s_enchantres@yahoo.com .
Thanks in advance!

I dont know if it is an option for your clients or not, but you can always use Terminal Services (Microsoft) also in place of citrix. It basically allows you the same features. All you have to do is install it on the server (should be on your microsoft server cd) and then purchase licensing. It's also nice because it is incorporated with windows. The only major flaw here is if you are not using windows servers .
Oh also, if you dont have licensing installed, I believe there is a certain amount of time where the users can still connect using RDP before it boots them out and tells them they need to obtain a license.

You might be a little obsessed with Halloween if you've ever pulled over on the shoulder of a busy highway, risked life and limb crossing the busy highway on foot only to discover the bright bit of orange plastic you glimpsed out your car window was not a Halloween decoration but a stinkin' Tide laundry soap jug

well most clients will never change their software because of all the time and money it takes to retrain everyone to use the new program. it has to be Citrix Metaframe. yes there are better programs but they cost money and they can bearly pay their tech support bills as it is .
hell when i worked for one of the casinos here in town we used a program developed back in the 1980's didnt work worth a damn and i spent more time correcting it's mistakes and printing out dos based reports then actually working. i actually went through a full pack of paper a day! On New Year's day i went through 2 the last year i worked there. all i can say is DAMN PEOPLE DRINK ALOT! (i use to audit the bars in Paris)

I found some CD images of Citrix Metaframe XP Presentation Server in my terrabytes of crap (stupid me for being a digital packrat).
If that's what you need, tell me how I should transfer 1.5 GB to you. If you have a place to upload or what not, I can always set it to go over night.
Alternatively you could always send me $20, I can put it on a flash drive and ship it down there. Might be faster than my crappy Comcast upload speeds =P
Shoot me details to email; asiegman at gmail.com
edit: Compressed it in to a RAR archive, just under 1GB for the CD images.

Useful tech support/presentation/vpn app you can use. Secure, very easy/quick setup, and great for file transfers also.
Just in case you're interested.
