Map/show group issues

Since my computer crashed and burned I am now using a rental for the time being. I downloaded maps from map quest and unzipped them to the EQ map file................the problem is when I click the show group option on the map box it does not work and I am not able to see my group members in zone. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
