Need advice

Contemplating, if I have to replace computer, a laptop. Right now I have a rented Acer Aspire 3050-1042, with simply being able to go online in mind. What would I need to run EQ?

This has:
Mobile AMD Sempron processor 3500+ (1.8 Gig, 512KB 1.2 chache)
14.1 WXGA LCD
ATI Radeon Xpress 1100
80 GB HDD
DVD/CD-RW Combo
512MB DDR2
802.11b/g wireless LAN
using Windows Vista
It was right out of the box when I rented it.

Laptops generally aren't very good for playing EQ. I have a pretty high end laptop that does ok but not nearly as well as my desktop that has lower stats

Yeah, a laptop will always cost you a lot more for equivalent performance and cap out much lower. A $399 PC will out-perform most reasonably-priced laptops.

thanks for the advice, kind of thought the laptops weren't suitable for EQ. Think I will stick with a desktop.

There was good news tonight, a new fan has saved my computer. Should have it back by the end of the week!
