LD in guild lobby or is it just down?

I zoned from the guild hall to the guild lobby and I've seem to have gone LD. Whenever I try to log a character in that is camped in the guild lobby, I get disconnected and it takes awhile for me to try to log another character in. I hope I have a char that isn't camped in the guild lobby to see what I can do.

Any suggestions?

I am glad to know that you are able to log in. There may be several reason for the Link Dead. We are working to minimize the zone disconnection. We want our player to enjoy smooth gameplay. Please visit our stuck character room by typing #join stuck character in General chat if you face the same issue again in future. Probably a character boot may resolve the issue, if the error is not a game error.

I had to log this on my necro as both my ranger and monk are stuck. I also set my ui back to ui in the line UISkin=Default in the UI_Gijo_bertox.ini file, but this didn't work either.

I zoned out of the guildhall into the guild lobby with Gijo, 75 monk, when I went LD. I logged back in, waited till I didn't have an active char, then tried again. It happened again. I tried logging into another character and as I clicked log in, I noticed it to was in the guild lobby. After waiting for that to clear I was finally able to log into this toon, that wasn't in the guild lobby. Is there a problem with guild lobby? I did do a full file search and nothing got added...

To me it sounded like "Woot you can still play our game! Good Job now leave me alone, I'm playing counterstrike"

I'm still not able to login to Gijo, my monk who is still in the guild lobby. I can login into another character that is outside the guild lobby, but if I try to access Gijo, or Wakiza, who are in the guild lobby, I get disconnected from the server.

Same thing happens to me in undershore. I have tried repatching the zone file multiple times and even reinstalling the game. Other people should be able to log you on just fine so long as they don't have the same issue. I think it's pretty f ucking lame and haven't even bothered to petition it since they won't know any better than I do what's wrong.

I got booted from the chat, so i relogged and both toons that were stuck in the GL were gone! I was like nooooooo, then I checked my petition, and I found:

I am Game Master Heanry, from the EverQuest CS Department, thank you for replying to the petition.

I tried to contact you online but you were offline at that moment. I investigated the issue by moving both the characters to my account, and was able to log in with them in Guild Lobby zone. It might be the problem from your side. Such kind of things can happen because of user interface, which you are using. I suggest that you please delete the zone.ini files and character.ini files from the EverQuest folder and please change your UI to Default UI by using /loadskin default1 command in game or change it from General Options in Options Window (Alt +O), if you are using Custom UI. After that do a complete file check by clicking on the 'advance' tab on the patcher and then selecting the expansion and clicking on the 'complete file check' option. Once it is done, re-run the patcher again.

I have moved Gijo and Wakiza in Plane of Knowledge zone, while you were offline. Please try to log in now. I hope this will resolve your issue.

so I did all that and it worked. though I held my breath zoning into GL!
