When my cats get to playing around the computer, they knock the mouse off the desk and play with it. iI it's wired i can at least follow the wire to find it. Wireless, kinda iffy. My computer area is very cluttered!

Actually, i wasn't specifically recommending 16,000 dpi as such. I was pointing out that the 16,000 is the spec on the "new" MX518. The main thing is variable speed so you can choose what works best for you. Oh, and a thumb shelf, too. I think the old one that was discontinued several year...
