The ac card is wifi 5, the ax card is wifi 6. If your router supports wifi 6 it is the better option. Both card should work though, if the card is the issue. If you can get a 4000 series (4800/4900) amd cpu, I would recommend it. However intel mobile cpus are a lot more common and can often be found for a better deal. I have the 8th gen version of this laptop with a 2070 and I love it. In addition to the 512gb nvme ssd it comes with, it has room for one more m.2 ssd (nvme supported) and a 2.5" ssd. Idk about the 10th gen, but I run my 8th gen with a 0.15v undervolt and it runs like a dream.
