This advise is slightly misleading. No matter what your affinity is set to each instance of EQ will still only use a single core at a time. There is a performance penalty when a process moves around between CPU cores. Its generally minor and the OS tries to be intelligent about scheduling to minimi...

If you use Innerspace + ISBoxer, you can set up a CPU affinity strategy. Very useful for boxing or running multiple clients.

Also, I was really drunk at that pool party. Holy hell. How did I ever stack that many cups while inebriated. It got taller than that too.

I'm language / tech agnostic. I pick what's best for the needs, not what's coolest/flavor of the week/etc. That's why I'm asking so much about the requirements of the application. I'm not familiar enough with your situation to give you much more advice than the stuff I mentioned to think about. If y...

The thing I was getting at is you said "clients want to go this route." This tells me one of two things. 1. The client has decided SQL is the thing to do, with no technical basis behind it. or 2. The client has external factors that make SQL a logical choice, such as needed third party int...

Problem reoccured tonight after raids and raiding for a while and what not. Temperatures were fine. GPU core 1 was at 54C, core 2 at 43C. I also used the NVIDIA control panel to set "Multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration" to "Single display performance mode" seems to have gotten m...

Need to know more about the situation. Is it Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, etc.? .NET would use ODBC connectors to get to all of those, I believe. Is this a web based program? Is it a desktop application that needs to hit a shared DB somewhere? Is it a local DB on the workstation?...

That sort of artifact most often happens if your GPU is overheating. I've got really good airflow in my case, and none of the fans/heatsinks are dusty. In fact, the GTX690 is brand new. I'll find some software to track temperatures and keep an eye on it. Recommendations welcome, also good operating...

Yes. Memory is fine.

I did this probably about 6 months ago and it didn't help. I might try it again though.

Okay well, I thought my GTX 570 was going bad, so it's now replaced with a GTX 690. Turns out, I was wrong. http://i.imgur.com/UqA4eLP.png That's what I get. I have been getting this intermittently for at least a year. Driver versions irrelevant. I've seen artificating primarily in EQ. I've seen wei...

Sorry I missed this, I didn't see the post early enough. Would have helped for free.

Anyhow, I unfortunately can't come wednesday. Just make sure someone who has all the kills requests instance so that you don't have to repeat those if timers aren't up.

Last time I got my computer it took months to get back my stuff. Some of it is still missing, like some itunes files, and my old sound card settings, which I rely upon heavily for work. I need to come up with random music at the drop of a hat in front of sometimes, let's say 40 PreKindergarten chil...
